Many small and big rivers have contributed a lot to our
country for producing electricity and irrigation. From east to west, Nepal is
full of many rivers like Koshi, Narayani, Bagmati, Gandaki, Mahakali, Karnali,
etc. Nepal is known as the second richest country in electricity due to only
these rivers. Besides, Nepalese people and farmers have gained a lot of benefit
from irrigation to farming and trade from rafting and boating.
Eventually, rivers in Nepal are great and chief sources of
economy if we can use them properly. We can produce electricity and throughout
Asia and earn a great deal of money. Nothing can be better source of income in
Nepal than rivers. But unfortunately 90% of people haven't used electricity so
far. People are using very expensive electricity in city areas. Due to the lack
of planning and awareness, the rivers have been destroying human creations,
human beings and properties every year. We should use the rivers dynamically to
promote our living standard and secure our future.
Nepalese rivers are so much permanent as they start from mountainous region and snow. Such kind of permanent rivers are more beneficial than temporary rivers. The rivers have added natural beauty and supported to water animals too. They are helpful to manage the environment and ecosystem. Anyway, rivers are sources of income in economy and blessings of human society and environment as well.
